Official summit lot at the end of Edelweißstraße, the highest car pad on the Großglockner High Alpine Road. From the marked stalls the Hohe Tauern wall and the Glockner massif sit in the windshield; glaciers and a ring of three-thousanders fill the horizon on a clear day. Asphalt bays a Model 3 can slide into, hut and stone tower a few steps from the bumper. Coaches cannot climb the cobble spur, so the pad stays cars and bikes. After the last day-trippers the ridge is yours for a long sit before the gates close.
