Keoldale Kyle picnic parking

A838 picnic pull-off at Keoldale, a compacted bay just west of the tarmac as the road tips toward the ferry. The Kyle of Durness and the Cape Wrath hills sit in the windshield from the west-facing stalls; at low tide the sands run the length of the inlet. Sedan gravel with potholes, a picnic table on the grass, no toilets and no charger. Day traffic for the minibus. After the last car the Kyle is a long sit from the stall.
