Hard-pack lakeshore bays on the south shore of Lago General Carrera, just west of Chile Chico. The Andes wall and the turquoise water sit in the windshield from the dirt pads after a short gravel spur; pebble beach under the same stall. Sedan-OK when dry — washboard, not dunes. After the last pickup the lake is yours from the van.
