Gravel visitor pad on Glacier Road at the toe of the Athabasca Glacier. The ice wall and the melt pond sit in the windshield from the stalls; wooden toilets on the same gravel. Sedan-easy when dry, seasonal roughly May–October, cold even in July. Coaches and glacier-bus traffic fill the lot until late afternoon. After the last bus the icefield is yours from the car.
