Forest Service asphalt lots on Portage Glacier Road at the Begich, Boggs Visitor Center, the terminal moraine of Portage Lake. The milky lake, the hanging ice and the visitor-center drum sit in the glass from the bays; flush toilets and water on the same pad. Sedan pavement, two lots, $5 adult for the building in season. Coaches and Whittier traffic by day. After the last bus the lake is a long sit from the stall. Anchorage Supercharger is about 68 km north.
