Official Hatcher Pass asphalt lot at Independence Mine State Historical Park. The restored mill, the bunkhouses and the Talkeetna wall sit in the windshield from the bays; a short walk through the gold-camp streets. Sedan pavement, day-use fee, last kilometres a mountain road — sedan-slow when wet or under snow, the pass often closes in winter. Day visitors until evening. After the last car the pass is a long sit from the stall. Chugiak Supercharger is about 44 km south.
