Gravel spit on the south shore of Pangong Tso at the named viewpoint, about 4250 m. The turquoise lake and the Chang Chenmo wall fill the windshield from the car; vehicle tracks run the bar. The Leh–Chang La–Lukung road is sedan-paved in season, about 160 km, Inner Line Permit. Coaches and camps by day. After the last taxi the lake is yours from the stall; cold, wind, no charger this side of Leh.
