The Sibillini wall and the lentil fields sit in the windshield from the bays; the rebuilt village is a short walk up the same hill. Compacted gravel a Model 3 can take, no services, rubble still in the corners; snow closes the pass in winter. Flower-season vans and coaches until dusk. After the last car the piano is quiet from the stall.
