Named asphalt lot at Bogakudai on the Tokachidake spa road. The smoking cone and the cairn sit in the windshield from the stalls. Sedan pavement, free, toilets on the pad; last kilometres are mountain asphalt and winter tyres after the first snow. Day hikers until dusk. After they leave the volcano is yours from the car.
