Sylvan Lake day-use parking (Needles Highway)

Nice break Tesla camping spot on TeslaCamp.

Day-use bays on the east shore of Sylvan Lake at the top of Needles Highway. The granite needles and the lake sit in the windshield from the stalls; Cathedral Spires rise behind the same water. Sedan pavement/gravel, toilets and the store on the loop. Needles Highway tunnels from the east are 8 ft 9 in — a Model 3/Y fits; coaches turn around. Packed by midday in summer. After the last swim the needles are a long sit from the stall. Tesla Supercharger in Rapid City or Custer on the way in; none on this pad.
