Paved summit loop after three CCC tunnels on Summit Road, 4,659 ft over the North Platte. The river valley, Mitchell Pass, and the Oregon Trail flats sit in the windshield from the stalls; Chimney Rock shows on a clear day. Sedan pavement, a small bay, no height bar for a Model 3/Y; RVs and trailers stay at the visitor-center lot below. The road is typically 8 a.m. to late afternoon. Packed with day cars. After the last tunnel run the plains are a long sit from the stall. Tesla Supercharger in Scottsbluff on the way in; none on this pad.
