Created in 1977 by Philippe Herreweghe, La Chapelle Royale consists of about thirty young French singers and of an orchestra playing on Baroque instruments. Destiny quite naturally with the defense and the illustration of the vocal music of the Great Century, the increase in the number of singers, selected each time from the suitable vocal point of view, also makes it possible to approach the traditional, romantic and contemporary repertoires, in collaboration with various instrumental ensemblss.
