Mauna Kea visitor lot
Break & overnight Tesla camping spot on TeslaCamp.
Paved visitor lot at 2,800 m on the Mauna Kea Access Road — the last sedan pavement before the 4WD-only summit. Mauna Loa and the cinder cones sit in the windshield from the stalls; after dark the Milky Way hangs over the same pad. Sedan asphalt, marked bays, toilets in the stone station, stargazing telescopes on the apron; no Supercharger on Hawaiʻi Island, destination-charge in Hilo or Kona. The unpaved summit road starts a few hundred metres on — 2WD is not for that pitch. Day hikers and sunset vans fill it; after the last tour the stars are yours from the car.
